We provided and installed a special external storage solution, allowing Coverworld to store delicate roof cladding without it sustaining any damage from the cantilever arm joints.
Coverworld is a Chesterfield based company supplying industrial roofing and cladding to the construction industry. After a steady expansion it was felt that an increased amount of storage was required in their yard. Varying lengths of roof cladding had to be stored and protected from damage on site.
Wickens proposed a series of bespoke cantilever racks enabling different lengths to be stored together. These were galvanised to make them suitable for outdoor storage. It was vital to Coverworld, that potential product damage was minimised in the storage application. Alan therefore suggested that the standard arm connection was modified to enable a flush finish arm to be incorporated into the rack design. Coverworld were satisfied that the solution we suggested had eliminated their concerns about their product sustaining damage.
To further protect the cladding and the racks themselves we installed a galvanised guide rail system to prevent damage from forklift trucks. All of the design and manufacture was executed within the time frame agreed and carried out to the satisfaction of all at Coverworld. Peter Hunt, Coverworld’s managing director, was pleased with the fact that we met their exact requirements.
“We had some very specific requirements which we are happy to say Wickens met and all within the time frame we needed them to”
